Core Participant Gatherings

The next meeting for non– state core participants will be held on the 20th of  January 2018 in Central London.

The draft agenda is as follows, please note it is subject to change:

  • Update from the lawyers about progress of the inquiry
  • Update from groups and individuals working on #spycops issues
  • Workshop on using  our online discussion forum
  • Building Solidarity: What to expect when you give evidence to the inquiry and how to ensure that we support each other through the process.
If you are a core participant (CP) in the Pitchford Undercover Policing inquiry or someone affected by undercover policing but who is not yet a core participant we strongly recommend you attend.  It is free and lunch is provided, there is also money to subsidise travel costs for people on low incomes or traveling from afar – please let us know in advance if you want this help.
Aim of event
We are aware that people are finding it difficult to follow and engage with what is going on in the inquiry and how it affects you. This day long meeting is an opportunity to;
· Meet and network with other core participants
· Improve your engagement with the Inquiry
· Get the latest up to date information from lawyers
· Ask the questions that you need to but did not know where to find the answers
· Deal with concerns and issues that individuals may be facing so we can better support each other.
We will send out a detailed agenda nearer the time. This meeting is being organised by the Spycops Communications Group, which is formed of people who are CPs or part of Inquiry associated campaign groups.
Please get in touch ( if there is something you would like to see on the agenda, or if you are able to contribute time / skills to put the event on. We will be looking for skilled facilitators, and minute takers, as well as people to help with the logistics.
